Well, it's April, 2011 - "National Poetry Month" - and you know what that means? Time for another series of 'fat furry' limericks, for my proposed comic strip "EFF" ("Extraordinarily Fat Furries").
And since "Fur Affinity" member AxlRedbat was celebrating his 20th birthday on April 3rd, I thought I'd "kill two birds with one..." Oh, I'm tired of using that old expression! How about I'd "force feed one fat furry with two buffets"? That sounds more appropriate!
Anyway, I thought I'd give AxlRedbat a belated birthday present, by rendering his anteater character 'Leonard Greenland' in a two-panel comic gag. But instead of using the recently-posted 2011 reference sheet...

...I relied on the four-image model sheet of 'Leonard', rendered back in 2010...

...and even though the anteater is down on all fours, I'd anthropomorphically allowed his claws to grasp onto (what he thought was) an anthill. Furthermore, instead of the usual 'visual punchline' of seeing the critter's swollen body (as a result of his mistake), I thought I'd concentrate on drawing a close-up image of his facial expression. I even threw in a 'bystander ant' - who is somewhat confused by this turn of events.
Anyway, as late as I am, "iFeliz Cumpleaños, AxlRedbat!"
I'll have a few more 'fat furry' limericks (with other "FA" characters) to post later this month. Meanwhile, you can check out my past prose, by going into my gallery, and look for the thumbnail icon that reads "A Fat Furry Limerick and Comic". I assure you, you won't be disappointed!
