Oh, I really like your use of colours here :D

Oh thank you! I found a collection of oil painting after my grandmother so I figured I'd give it a go and it's surprisingly fun to use^^

Just imagining your rebels as pirates or privateers: they'd rule the seas with their buccaneer brains and brawn with epic sword fights and flintlocks, impressive sieges with cannons and grappling hooks, and sea shanties on a cozy beach ... or knowing their luck spending a lot of time imprisoned/interrogated in the brig or tied to a mast, walking a plank, or trapped as a ship's makeshift figurehead catching major waves straight to their face. Oh, the possibilities ... 😁🏴‍☠️

Hahaha you make a mighty fine case for it but alas I've always been more of a landlubber than sea creature. I'm not very interested in pirates to be honest, though I did enjoy doing this portrait ^^

This turned out rather beautifully with the colours and there's also that sense of texture with oil painting that I think can really bring it to life. Remembering your earlier artwork with Garlu, it's fun to see him with a different style and look, though still the mighty and fearsome pirate and I imagine still a grabber of snouts.

oil colours give a certain kind of texture on a painting.
This here looks like a mix bedween early renaissance portrait art in Great Britain and Pablo Picasso´s early student years.

Maybe one day I will pick up on your offer. Because I really would like to see, how you would portray Fafnir in your style as a pirate. This would be like those other portraits that exist of real life pirates.
