Many things drew Thermite back to Rec, well worth the risk of inviting the wrath of his giant moose boyfriend upon the bug. Thermite didn't always have access to ways to make himself bigger, but he could always make Rec smaller with just some teasing words or a little roughhousing. The snake was fun to toy with, always defiant yet able to be compelled to do whatever Thermite wanted once he shrunk down enough, and though he would never say it out loud, Thermite just liked how cute the guy was. But most of all, Thermite had discovered that messing with the snake gave him bursts of inspiration to write new songs with. So, whenever he needed to come up with songs for a new album, Thermite would engage in his new ritual of picking up his combination toy and muse and get to work.
