Bitterbat had said the words before. Over and over again, humanity didn't deserve her blood sweat and tears. The sacrifices. The over abundance of her love that poured from her heart and her magical core.
Sweetheart sighed, and rubbed her boyfriend's small head as he lounged on her.
"They do not deserve you, My Queen."
She ran a finger up the curve of his batwinged ear, garnered a soft pur. Quell his bloodlust, not that she minded. She knew he could level Downtown, the entire city, the island, maybe even the chunk of the state-- who was she kidding. The world could weep, cracked in half by his power. His proposal was getting more and more enticing... but...
There were still decent people in the world. More or less.
Sweetheart smiled, gently rocking their joined hands back and forth. His small, chibi form purred louder. In her grasp and her showered in her affection, he was in bliss. "And the world does not deserve you either, Batty."
