"Now the eggheads in the nonwovens industry will tell you that this is actually called the Acquisition Distribution Layer and it assists in spreading foreign material more evenly throughout the garment"
But I just call it the "murr layer" or just the blue stripe. In my opinion, any diaper that comes with a blue stripe is automagically that much better, and the wearability aspect is greatly increased! It's a design choice I'll never say no to! Now, all diapers come with a blue stripe built in, it's just not all companies spring for the blue material. Some go with white, some go with blue. But in recent years there have been newer colors like pink and purple making their way onto the scene! The more the merrier I say! Contrary to popular belief, the blue stripe doesn't confer additional absorbency in and of itself, it simply helps with the wicking process so the diaper can absorb more evenly.
I was speaking with another ABDL friend the other night about padding, and the subject of the blue stripe on the inside came up. Obviously I really love it when companies add the blue material, as I feel it adds a lot more character to a diaper, especially ones that already have coloration going on. I know that sounds silly, a diaper having character, but if you're gonna market to ABDLs then good design choices matter! Now I won't deny a diaper just because it lacks a blue stripe, but I'm always a little sad if I don't see one.
What do you guys and girls think? Do you like your diapers to have the blue stripe, or do you prefer ones that are more plain in coloration?
Let me know down in the comments, I'd like to hear your opinions ^^.
I know it's an old meme, but Vinny is always late to the party, oh well! Have it anyway! I tried some new coloring methods on this one too.
Enjoy!

I've never noticed the blue stripe on the inside myself! :0 I've not tried many brands, so I'm guessing that's probably why. Betterdry night don't have much color going for them except the blue tapes, but I think I might generally also just have a thing for very plain white diapers?
But this is definitely something I'll be looking for now whenever I'm browsing!!!

I'm all for stuff that helps absorbency for pamps because one problem I've always run in to at least for some is leaking light right off the bat or having to stand around and wait did it do its job can i sit now without a leak or suddenly feeling my leg get warm and then having a bunch of laundry to do
one of my pet peeves is tapes i always find the brands because they look super cute or cool but the tapes suck. just enjoying my care free day when 5 hours later i hear a pop and the dang tapes fail just stop sticking. like gosh i havent even used it yet >_> come on.
i like the Blue strip. when i see that i see quality i know the tapes most likely wont fail with in a few hours don't have to worry about leaks unless i want it to leak. when i see the blue strip i know i can reliably trust the folks who make that diaper understand how to make a diaper for what its use is needed for :3
