A finally finished Spot Illustration commission for lebenschnabel! Probably the most complex a spot illustration can be without it turning into a full blown illustration with a full background. It was a real challenge to do the fire lighting here, which I have fudged a little to light more of the character for the viewer's eye. I had help from my livestream audience, especially vantid and dimespin who helped me figure out the carvings above the fireplace! Overall a real challenge but super fun and I feel like I came out of it with some experience points under my belt. =)

I think you handled the lighting quite well. And i love all the details!
The chair reminds me a lot of one i acquired after my grandpa passed away, only the leather is deep maroon instead of red, and the arms are open. It was the chair he had in his office when he still ran his medical practice (there's also a matching, yet armless, one for the patient to sit in, and the enormous desk he had between the two) :) That chair gives a nice antique feeling to this illustration ^^
