One of the most famous artistic myths from antiquity is the story of Pygmalion told in Ovid's "Metamorphoses". The sculptor, disappointed by the women, falls in love with a statue he created, called Galatea in later adaptations. At his request, Aphrodite (called Venus by the Romans) brings her to life and they become a happy couple.
Using Hero Forge I created Pygmalion and his beloved statue as anthropomorphic lions. Pygmalion the Lion touches the statue of a lioness he created, which represents everything he wants in a female. He wants the lioness he created to come to life because he loves her.
