This a scene from a WIP story I'm currently writing.
The scene shows Kes, an Atani (fictional canid resembling an Ethiopian Wolf) and protagonist of the story, resting on a plateau on the great Mt. Elmesat as he watches the setting sun.
To his right is a monolith with ancient paintings depicting an ancient Atani (probably the artist), Kalbadi (the deer creature, god of Life and Death), and Temendi (the hippo looking creature, god of Chaos and Creation).
It is actually Temendi who Kes seeks. He resides at the summit of the mountain.
As he sits and watches the sun, he reflects on the arduous climb he has ahead of him.
He knows that he has to persevere.
