This painting has quite a bit of symbolism in it.

First of all: Why a rabbit when crabs are supposed to represent Cancer? Well, Cancer's planet is the moon and there is a rabbit in the moon (from my side of the world, at least), my moon sign is Cancer, and I was born in the year of the rabbit.
Does that all make sense?

The rabbit represents the Mind and Imagination.
The reeds represent the Physical Body.
The pond represents the Soul and Emotions.

The left bank has short, tidy grass with neat, rounded trees in the background and represents the Super-ego.
The right bank has long, wild grass with irregular shaped trees and represents the Id.
Finally, the moon represents the Ego.
