The youngest and last member of the College of Birds, Mirivo is a sespezzika, afflicted with a vanishingly rare curse granting him the ability to fly, but never to land. Before its dissolution, the College was a mystery-cult-turned-paramilitary-order, and members were esteemed for their divinations and insight, as well as their martial feats. The cult was eventually persecuted, and the remaining members were scattered, forced back into the peripatetic lifestyle of the sespezzika before them. Since fleeing Sier Atvego, Miriv has spent the last year wandering in search of his comrades, in the hopes of reuniting with his friends, and repairing what little remains of his order.

Another video where it wasn't available in the US. But I found another link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnoPYMto84E
Aw yo, this has me thinking about gameplay (if Miriv was player character in a game) - I'm imagining a lot of steer-able momentum-based swooping sword attacks. Lots of fun aerial boosting. Maybe supplemented with a little starry ranged magic.
(a lot of creatures may mistake him for a bird, thanks to the fancy outfit, and not believe him when he sez he's a rabbit)
Also picturing him chilling in a cozy safe/save room, maybe unable to rest upon floor bedding, but perfectly capable of nestling himself in a hammock, making himself a snoozing crescent bundle :D

Yeah, the swooping attacks are definitely the sort of thing I had in mind! It's interesting you mention the bird part: haven't delved into this yet, but the birds of this world are an apocryphal and mythologised species who were said to have been banished from the world in the distant past, so the avian silhouette would be alarming to many, and even profane or sacrilegious to some who revere the birds religiously. This would tie into various other prejudices surrounding them, and I imagine would have played a part in the dissolution of the College.
Also that image is absolutely adorable omg!! I've had a similar idea about him resting in a little bedspread nailed to a ceiling :3

Speaking once again of burds- I just noticed, (I actually misread the title, my brain sort of autocompleted it as "the Bard" instead) (same thing for college of "Bards" in the description) So really, the thing that made me think "bird" was the excellently designed outfit ,'D
Also, the idea that the setting is largely pilled on the idea that Birds Aren't Real! is super interesting. Seeing anything fly around really would be a severe culture shock to those people. Let alone seeing a Lepus Magician do it.
