Sleepy Super Titan Noelania Sketch
I guess you can’t really call a Cerberus character a sleepy head, singular. >3> Though even if Noelania the Arcanine was laying down to sleep, she’d still be a singular lump… with lots of lumps to her figure~ ;3c
A fun little sketch that started as a doodle done for Patron Vireis that won a poll to be polished out! ^.^
Vireis’s requests often include characters that don’t often show up otherwise. A wonderful use of monthly requests!
Done with mechanical pencil on white card stock paper.

I'd say either "sleepyheads" or "sleepy brains" would be appropriate.😆
As for this picture itself, it's excellent as per usual for you. I like the way the landscape just sprawls below her in a way that shows her scale without having to look at her at first and is a great substitute for the relative lack of a background in the upper parts of the image.
her fur boots look gorgeous and I bet everyone's glad she's sleeping standing up because of the impact she would have if she fell down, although there are obviously people who would love that as well!
What is your reasoning behind making Cerberus style characters? I think you're the only person who I've seen do it consistently and not just for something like Halloween.

Hahah, yes. |3
I love doing these sorts of scales. It makes environments so simple and easy to get the point across. >w>
Well she isn't really sleeping standing up. Just yawning either because she just got up or is about to go down!
Well, Penumbra was originally designed as a challenge to try and come up with a cerberus that used both Midday and Midnight Lycanrocs. Then shortly after I did the physical design, Dusk Lycanroc was unveiled. That is why the middle head on hers doesn't look like a Dusk Lycanroc completely.
Then Noelania here was me trying way too hard to come up with an absolutely unique Arcanine to differentiate from the vast sea of characters of the species, but I went too far and even I'm not terribly happy with her. >.> I'm not in too much of a hurry to make any more.

Kind of like how space backgrounds are relatively easy to do because detail isn't required. On that note, your practice of drawing space backgrounds on black paper makes it easier still even though this isn't one of them.
I would personally prefer the latter.😉
I figured it had to do with all the different forms, but I didn't know that it wasn't exact with the dusk one.
On that note, what happens to a character in universe when they're retired or close to it like you want to do with Noelania? Would it be the equivalent of being transported to a different domain semi- permanently?

Oh yah, space art on black paper was so easy. Every bit as easy to do as it is digitally. >w>
Penumbra's "dusk" head has one floppy ear like Midnight has rather than sticking up like actual Dusk's would.
I actually have no idea what retirement would look like for the divine. >.> And well Noelania isn't really retired. She had much of her authority stripped from her because of a bad blunder she did a while ago. She was left with a lot of her powers, but has pretty much zero leadership responsibilities that would normally come with a Super Titan rank.

I'm surprised more people don't do it that way.
Thanks for the information; I don't really look closely at Pokémon designs so I wouldn't have picked that up.
So basically she's lost her authority but has at least most of her powers and has less responsibilities? That doesn't sound so bad to me even if it is a punishment.
