On a winter escape to the Kauai (Garden Isle of Hawaii), Galaranth met a very rare type of fur: A blue whale of a giantess herm. To meet such a species of anthropomorph is a rarity among the countless types there are.

Obsidian mostly says only what is needed to be said. Shi can hold a good conversation, but prefers to listen, in order to learn more about who talks to hir. The thing that Obsidian finds attractive about someone is often a positive attitude. It's obvious Galaranth's endless, yammering about science & technology has caught hir interest!

This Blue Whale has the same stem cell condition as Galaranth, prolonging hir life... Although not as long as his, but that will change with some of his genetic acceleration.

Obsidian was born in Feudal Japan around the time the country became an actual single entity (think Tokugawa). Shortly after shi was born, hir parents died when struck by lighting while fishing in a thunderstorm. Shi was taken in by rather unfavourable parents. After years of slaving under their iron fist, Obsidian (back then named Emiko) stomped their dwelling flat & made off with all their money & valuables.

For the rest of history until the 1950's, Obsidian traveled hir native country learning marshal arts, sorcery, doing odd jobs, countless trades & careers. When the 1950's arrived, Obsidian high tailed it to Kauai & opened up a Small Bed, Breakfast & Spa. There shi spent the latter half of the 20th century surfing monstrous waves, earning a living & taking small trips back to Japan. Now that shi's met another being with Stem Cell Regeneration Syndrome, who knows what will happen!
