The soul makeup here used as an example belongs to my character Mia.

A characters soul is made up of first a mark, a core emotion to a person, or atleast something one can feel, freedom, control, despair, are 3 valid examples.

While the facet is made up of two elements. Or anything that could be considered some sort of physical component that can be experienced in some way, air, time, music, are 3 valid examples.

Once someone is in flow with their mark, feeling that emotion strongly, a power can be activated, based on the two elements in the facet, in Mia's case, being a lucid soul of rage blood and fire, this will set her opponents blood ablaze, this also gives passive abilities, such as a resistance to fire. People will also find it much easier to learn magic or general skills related to their elemental facet.

Lucid souls are souls that affect others rather than ones self, directly applying some sort of state of being on friends or foes, depending on the element.
Someone who has a facet with life and a lucid soul, may heal their friends or party members around them.

Cryptic souls only affect the haver of the soul, which they can then use to their benefit, such as molten blood that can be used as a weapon when they are hurt, if they have a soul of blood and fire whilst being cryptic.
