Great Gatsby; I had completely forgotten about the Express Yourself Contest until earlier this morning! Well, here's my entry, which blends 1960s baroque pop, 1990s alternative rock, and 1500s folk music. The title is a nod to the fall of Rome in AD 476 as well as the 2013 Bastille song Pompeii, which itself references the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79. Hope you all enjoy.
