Madloc layed down on his belly, his legs buckling under the pressures of the day. He wouldn't make it back home today, not before the storm would hit. He didn't really mind sleeping away from home after the events of this day though. He had brought some wood with him and made a small campfire. Even if he could breathe fire, the comfortable warmth it provided would help lull him to sleep. He relaxed his weary muscles, rested his head on his front paws and closed his eyes. It wasn't long before sleep took him.
With a sudden BANG, Madloc was awoken. He looked around in panic, searching for a threat until he saw the flash of another lightning bolt hitting some nearby trees, the sound overwhelmingly loud. The storm had come. He slowly put his head back down on his front paws and listened to the drops of rain splattering on the floor just outside the cave, occasionally interrupted by more lightning strikes. He would not be able to rest this night.

🎨I have had this scene in my head for a long time now, being one of the first pieces I'd ever written for my character. It was such a favorite of mine that I decided I had to get art of it.
