Hello everyone!
I got some serious things to say this time. As some of you may know, i have had a rather rough time with employment since 2009. I had said that i was taking a break from The Eye to work on Tina of the South and continue job hunting. The problems is that the whole job hunting issue just was too much of a terrible reality.
It took me over a year to get a single job, and i ended up falling in the maws of a slave driver that took the first excuse to reduce my salary one third and basically wanted me to work 50 hours per week for the salary of a half time job. I had to make the easy but yet horrible decision of quitting. Luckily enough i landed another job at a place a friend recomended and so far it looks really good (anything is good after the whole fiasco).
Why am i telling you all this? Because it is a reality that came to bite me in the ass and a lot of people don't realize about it. You see, all this time i left little time for the eye because i dependend on comissions in order to pay for rent, services and food.
This is important, because i really spent a lot of time working on each page of The Eye and if i kept doing that i would not really have time for the comissions.
You see, i really wanted to make a really good looking comic with the skills i have and improve over time. But the effort wasn't really giving results but with readers and with my economy. And i always felt this nasty inferiotity complex when it came to the Katbox comunity and the way my comic and characters are treated and no matter how hard i tried to reach to the comunity (posting news, joking, showing art and the process of the comic and character design), there just of nothing happened. So i had to make this decision.
Before i made some black and white pages in order to keep updating. But to be honest i thought the pages were a bit lacking that way. They did look nice, but there was something that i felt was missing.
So thanks to some advice (In particula Nekonny) i decided to simplify the coloring process of The Eye and go for cel shadings. Now i will be honest, this is a way of coloring i am not familiar with and i still need a lot to improve. But i hope that with this way of working i can keep track of the comic while i work on the job and make it appealing with the colors.
I got to say, i do feel ashamed of not being able to keep up as well as i wanted with this webcomic. But to be honest i did have more important priorities.
Anyways, i ranted a lot already. I just want to thank the readers for enjoying The Eye of Ramalach.

It's good to see you back in action with the webcomic. It is a very fascinating webcomic with much potential. It's not a problem you had to leave to take care of higher priorities, it's survival comes first right? I do look forward to the continuation of this, thank you for the info and good luck in the future. I'm sure you'll get the new style down in no time.
It's beautiful! So worth the wait to see this again.
The Eye was one of my favorite katbox comics, the other being Nekonny's. But i certainly understand economy]]]] and job loss (aka reality) get in the way. I am very glad to hear that things are better, or at least improving enough that you feel you can start the Eye back up.
Now I'm wondering what the exact consequences of leaving Segen for that... what exactly is that sea serpent looking girl? Anyway, what are the consequences for her leaving Segen.
