After the bombing he was caught in, his mental state changed, while already disciplined by the Police force it made him tougher, and after he requested that he kept his clothes he wore that day, taking them later to a tailors to have them fixed.
Now he wears it on occasion to remind himself of what he stands for, a painful one of course, but a reminder nonetheless.
