The Great Galactic War and the overthrowing of the monarchy in a coup led by an ambitious army lieutenant named Stavgus Bondoete marked a new era for the nation of Swechia. Reforms to the army had been conducted to ensure that Swechia could remain a great power in the galaxy. The Imperial Army of the Swechian Empire is considered among the greatest in the galaxy. Experts in defensive warfare, common Swechian army tactics rely on wearing down the enemy through constant heavy bombardment and guerilla harassment on supply lines and encampments before overwhelming them in a grand frontal assault. Slow moving but heavily armed and fortified, the Swechian army is often compared to a mobile fortress. With an impending 2nd Galactic war on the horizon, Stavgus Bondoete III is faced with the opportunity to further modernize the Swechian military with the latest technology and battle strategies available.


Though nowhere as elite or well trained as their Voltigeur cousins, the Chasseur still plays an important role in any Swechian army serving as recon scouts or snipers. Given more specialized training and equipment to aid them in their important duties, the Chasseurs of the Swechian Empire perform the duties that the regulars would be unsuited for.


Line Fusiliers are the basic line infantry of the Swechia, drilled and trained for a variety of basic combat tactics and weaponry. Typically armed with the Model 917 Chaffe Beamsket, Fusiliers are often deployed en masse to hold down vital positions on the battlefield until more mobile units sweep forward. Should they be on the offense, they are thrown en waves at the enemy in forward assaults, backed by columns of tanks, air/orbital support, and mass artillery. Assault Fusiliers are more specialized in CQC combat compared to the average grunt, equipped with body armor and assault rifles. They’re often deployed alongside regular line infantry to storm trenches or other positions. The name is indicative as line fusiliers don’t march in line formations during a battle.


Grenadiers form the basic elite infantry regiments of any galactic army, having access to personal shield generators, heavy protective armor, combat cybernetics, and more powerful weaponry that comes with their prestige. Sourced from the strongest, bravest and tallest of the line infantry, Grenadiers undergo rigorous and grueling training and discipline exercises to produce highly disciplined and robust shock infantry capable of smashing through heavily fortified positions without fear.



Lower to mid ranking officers tasked with commanding infantry units on the field, often hailing from the nobility of the Swechian Empire. Though most would prefer to command from the safety of a starship or in a fort, a few more thrill seeking officers seek glory and fame in personally commanding their men into battle. Wearing body armor and shield generators designed in the shape of gorgets for protection, a few of these glory horses charge alongside their men into the fray. You’d be surprised at the amount of officers that actually end up surviving the whole ordeal.
