Galaxy Glitch Sabers can make their starry duplicate look solid, or even alter the shape of it, but while doing so are unable to swap. For a non-natural glitch saber, controlling two bodies at once was already a big learning curve, but when one of them controls completely differently, it's an even bigger challenge.

I really love this idea. Are they unable to glitch while altering their duplicate self? Or if they do glitch, would the form alterations keep? I could definitely see it where the duplicate can't be glitched into while altered... that glitching into it undoes the alterations... or even that it leaves the alterations in place for a sort of slow over time shapeshifting ability.
You seem to have a knack of coming up with world building concepts that generate all kinds of interesting questions about mechanics and implications about the wider species and/or world.
