Yes, it is indeed excellent! Fits the vibe to a t. Perhaps save color for important parts or shots, if not after completion to avoid burn out.

You might not believe me but I’m pretty bad at coloring things. But just black and white might look a little boring. I think I should try and find a middle ground

You're getting better, though, with each piece. One middle ground may be to color only parts of characters and small or important portions of the environment/objects.
