I really hate having to make this post but I could use all the help I can get.
The picture above is my boy Padfoot. He is a 4-5 year old male husky fiesta mix. Yesterday (01/11) he decided he was going to jump our 6ft tall fence while i was inside for a few minutes. A car hit him and left him in critical condition. They did not stop, I do not know who did it, I live on a small dead end country road nowhere near a main road. I took him emergency to his primary vet where they watched him for several hours and then instructed me to take him to an emergency vet specialist. He is now out of critical condition, they advised he is going to pull through however he has to spend the weekend with the specialist so they can manage his pain medication and really make sure he is 100% ready to come home. He has air and fluid in his chest (the specialist said it is going down though), he has cracked ribs, road rash, and several deep lacerations. The specialist said he is up and walking there at the vets, he is drinking, and using the bathroom normally. Vet believes he will make a full recovery.
I have had to pay out of pocket for all of his medical expenses and have maxed out every credit avenue available to me.
We are at estimating his vet bills total to be close to $10,000 by the time I get him home and get all of his medications for his long road to full recovery.
I will be posting a few YCHs soon to help cover his bills, commissions will be discounted, really any funds at all will be going towards him. I will be applying for a second job again. (those who know me personally know) My paypal/cashapp/venmo/zelle is open as well if anyone would like to donate to his vet bills, recovery bills, etc. I would sincerely, from the deepest parts of my heart, appreciate it.
Can see the bills I have receipts for so far here : https://sta.sh/2hb2iwq1sza
I do not have the receipts yet for the specialist for the weekend, medications, etc. As soon as I get those they will be added.
We are hoping to be able to bring him home Sunday! And we are very thankful he is a strong, healthy, well loved boy and will make a full recovery.
