In the outskirts of the capital wasteland, danger is all around. Sometimes you need a little more firepower to deal with some of the stronger foes that stalk the lands outside of the ruined downtown D.C. regions. Jake managed to get his paws/hands on a gauss rifle as he hunts down a specific creature for a local settlement. He's even managed to slightly upgrade some of his armor with additional metal pieces which may be able to stop a bullet, but who knows if that'll do much when it comes to creatures like Deathclaws.
