Here's the animated showcase I put together for the second-to-last player/partner monsters in Monster Mystery! Only two monsters remain after Barroth and Paolumu! ^vv^

Barroth and Paolumu share some traits in common. For one, they both have some accuracy bonus, and they both have an elemental weakness to Fire damage and good resistance to Water attacks.
Barroth is a Power Attack monster that has a lot of their advantages in defensive ability. Beyond just having high HP and base defense, they can also coat themselves in mud, reducing their water resistance but raising their fire and thunder resistance in situations that require it.
Paolumu is a Technical Attack monster with a bit of evasion. Other than that, they aren't very defensive at all with their base HP and defense being slightly lower than the rest. They are decently well rounded in elemental defenses otherwise and with the ability to puff up, they can defend themselves against some attacks and become more dangerous.

These two are pretty underrated, but I'm happy with em! When I made Paolumu's sprites I couldn't help but imagine them sneezing and now I can't unsee it lol >vv< Either way, with these two done, all that's left for new monsters is Lagi and Maccao!
