OK. There is horse racing year round but most folks are only familiar with the Triple Crown races which starts with the Kentucky Derby (the first Saturday in May). It seems odd to me that I've not seen this type of idea before - anthropomorphic horses running the Derby like a marathon. The second place horse has on blinkers - think of it for an anthro character as being a huge sweat band. :D That is a rough image of the Twin Spires of Churchill Downs there in the background.
