Hah. That's the most interesting thing I've seen with the star pics so far.
Also, I got a 3DS too. It's fun.
Too bad the next system update won't be until the end of May.
So no internet browser, DSiWare, or system transfer (from DSi to 3DS), just about half the functions on the 3DS is locked out or unavailable until the new system update.
And all the games I want for it won't be coming until until August for me, unfortunately.

At the moment? I wouldn't really say so.
Unless you want to use the pedometer, put the 3DS in sleep mode, walk 1,000 steps and collect 10 play coins each day. (100 steps = 1 play coin)
Or if you actually know or have friends who already has a 3DS too. Allowing you to use the streetpass function and trade Miis or something.
Other than that, all you've got is AR games (Archery, Fishing, and Shot (kind of like pool). There's more, but they're not really games, more something to pass the time with, like Star Pics, as shown above.), Face Raiders (built in game where you take pictures of people's face, and then shoot at them like aliens with the 3DS. Be warned, you will be turning around, possibly doing a full 360 to shoot at them.), and the Mii Plaza games, (Puzzle and Find Mii) where you need play coins or other 3DS users. (To get a puzzle piece or to add as an adventurer for your dungeon diving, king rescuing.)
There's the sound editor too, (10 second recording, and then you can play around and edit the sound/voice)
Other than that, I guess there's the 3DS games that's already been released. So take a look into that, if you have some extra money after getting a 3DS.
Myself, I'm more interested in Starfox or Zelda. And my sister believes there's a Kingdom Hearts 3D game too.

Well, there hasn't been any US official information on it that I know of.
Though, I suppose it's fine to consider the japanese version as a "It's real, exists, and possibly coming to america soon" sign.
As for myself, I know that Japan doesn't always release all their games internationally, and that sometimes, we have to wait for a remake or different version of the same game.

flip note is only THE best animating program ever. i myself use it for doing my rough animation sketches due to its quickness while still maintaining quality. i then put the rough animation into flash and draw clean lines. but i do use game notes on the 3DS for random doodles =3
