This other story idea I've been brewing in my head for a while now is that Tails happens to find a rather ancient spear during one of his adventures with Sonic. Upon touching it, he was instantly granted the memories of another fox around his age that grew up in a long gone civilization. The spear itself is inspired by Aztec design and is a primary influence for what the mystery fox's past was like. Basically, the spirit of the fox that previously held the spear now resides within Tails, driving the genius into situations that he would normally not be in or approach. And slowly, the two souls become one...
