The weather is finally (slowly) warming up and that means more visits to the dog park. I guess a lot of people were urged to come out today because of the nice weather, the park was much mere crowded than usual. Even the small dog play area. We don't get to the dog park as much as I'd like to since it's almost an hour away from us, but my plan is to get out there at least once a month when the weather is nice.
Since I took waay too many pictures to spam them all on here one by one, I put together a couple collages.
When we first got there, I took Wahya into the large dog play area (dogs 30 pounds and over aren't allowed in with the little dogs...but little dogs can come in with the big dogs) She just kept walking along the fence looking at her brothers. She looked so sad and confused so we let Nemo (beagle mix) come in to the large dog area with her. She perked up after that.
A little while after, when a girl was coming in from one area to the other, Cricket came in with the big dogs too. He slipped right on in, smart little imp! You'll see some pictures with a pack of large dogs saying hello to him, and Wahya seems to be introducing him lol. At first I was worried, I stayed right near him...but both Cricket & Nemo were just fine racing around with the large dogs.
Cricket has a twin there! See if you can find him. I was seriously surprised at how similar they were. Hint: it's another red color Min Pin, only this one had his tail docked and his ears cropped (sadly) With that one exception, he looks JUST like Cricket's twin! They marched around the same way and even had a similar bark. His owner said he's a purebred Min Pin, but that surprised me. They're usually much smaller, which is the main reason I always assume Cricket is a mix. Perhaps he is a pure Min Pin, just a natural one with his full ears & tail! Who knows. It's just funny to think about lol.
Foxy stayed in the smaller area, where he had himself a harem of boyfriends. Seriously. He's SO gay, so gay it's even obvious to strangers. There was one woman there who exclaimed "He's gay!" to us. LOL. We knew it. As usual, he kept chasing (and humping, and having mass orgies) with all the sexy male dogs there. That dachshund there with him was one of his fav humping pals lol.
PS: The large dog there that looks like he has his fur up does NOT have his fur up. He's a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and he was quite nice!
I would choose the Dog Park over Disneyland any day. :D

Im too paranoid to take Sunny to the dog park, plus hes rather picky himself on who he likes to associate with. He HATES puppies and is not fond at all of any dog taller than he is (which is most dogs). I may, however, Set up a playdate with a friends Papillons for him. Hes bigger than they are,tho not by much.
Cricket is very yappy about other dogs...when and *only* when he's on a leash. When he's off leksh at the dog park he's *fine*. Mine all love the park, Cricket & Foxy play really well (sometimes TOO well in Foxy's case...lol) with the other dogs. While Nemo mostly ignores them...too busy sniffing & marking everything in sight...Wahya's almost a little shy. She was much more confident after Nemo joined her in the large dog play area, and she did play with several dogs there but she kept coming back again and again to make sure where I was. Half the time I would turn around to look for her and she'd end up being right behind me lol! A play date with some friends dogs sounds like a nice plan for Sunny! He might could play with Foxy...you can't get much smaller than a chihuahua...but he might also get humped *lol*
