Well, 2023 (and 2022) weren't good years for my art - I've really been struggling to work up the motivation to draw again in between working and life in general. I've moved out of my parents to start a new job (train driving!) since I last posted any art as well, which leaves me with less free time. Not to say that I don't have lots of free time still though, because I do, I just squander it watching youtube or doom scrolling reddit/twitter. For a while drawing has felt like a chore to me, getting over that "barrier" of starting to work on anything is tough.

That's why I decided to sit down and doodle today as a form of "art therapy" to see if I'll enjoy it when doing something where I don't put too much care into the neatness. And honestly I really enjoyed making this. Not to say I'm going to drop my quality with anything else I draw, but I need to do random side pieces like this more often so I don't just feel bogged down working on the same project all the time (*cough* ref sheet 😩 *cough*).

Hopefully 2024 will see me posting more regularly and finally getting out some of the projects I've wanted to work on for ages, including the NSFW ones... we'll see though.
