So what exactly is the process for being transformed?
I understand that it takes many years, even decades, but what actually initiates the change? Is it bodily fluids, like semen or saliva? Is the process viral or bacterial? Do you need more food during the transformation in order to support the changes? What sort of dietary changes happen?
Thanks for filling us in!

I've heard that the Devils are in fact bees.
On an unrelated note, in The Sting of the Wild I read that while the abdomens and heads of worker bees are inedible to humans between venom and pheromone glands, the thoraxes are palatable. And drone bees, stingless and without extensive pheromonal ability, are wholly edible and taste like custard.
