The scientist approaches the scene and gives the lifeguard two rigid pokes in the thigh, ascertaining the firmness of the muscles.
"Eureka!" He exclaims with glee, "Stiff as a board! A resounding success!"
The lifeguard mumbles a rebuttal but with his jaw clamped shut and his lips flexed, no word is properly formed.
The scientist begins to awkwardly arrange himself into a squat around the cougar's legs. "Now we just need to..." He puts one of his hands on a thigh and the other on an ankle and begins to strain his entire body, trying to tip the statue-like cougar forward. Finally the rigid cat begins to wobble and flops face-first into the anemone's mouth. The scientist calls out in victory "Alley-oop!"
Immediately the tentacles wrap around the soft, sand-coloured fur, sticking to it and tugging his body deeper into the rubbery gullet. Each touch of a tentacle spreads the numbing venom, making the overall sensation all the more peculiar for the unwilling test subject.
The scientist in orange pivots to face the cougar's feet. The tumble forward had thrown off one of his sandals, and the villain tenderly reached forward to pluck off the other. "I encourage you to relax and not resist the process," he drawls in a voice unbefitting the strangeness of the scene, "You have nothing to fear! We would never harm our new pilot! You see, it's less like you're being eaten and more like you will be wearing her like a glove! Oh yes, this whole process is completely safe!"
He pauses and considers before adding, "Though you may experience some initial discomfort... especially during the training process..."
~~Bonus material: I futzed around with the first frame of this one a lot, but ultimately edited it down by a lot. You can see what didn't make the cut here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55082100
