In Vurga's opinion, eating prey feet first is a total hassle. You either have to catch a prey while they're laying down or lift them up over your head without getting kicked in the snoot. And unlike gobbling them headfirst, their arms don't get pinned to their sides, so they're free to push and bap at their predator all the way down. For a feet first prey, you have to really get them by surprise and get them turned around so their arms are facing the other way! And if Vurga wanted to prepare meals, he wouldn't have become a predator.

But it's worth it for those last moments. The last of a prey's hands reaching desperately and uselessly for freedom. It's not even a struggle anymore. It's a longing for the freedom of the outside world which is forever out of their grasp now! One last 'I don't wanna go' before they're gone!

It's predatory dominance at its peak.
