when you buy any old police cruiser the engine still has all of the performance upgrades that the police use. it comes from the factory that way it is called a police package and most cars that have a police package have a code that they add one to the ven number for my car it is 9C1 if you are lucky some times you can still find police cars with the light, sirens ect. like my old car still had the light bar on it and it is sitting in my gargle i but it on for parades and police car shows. i hope that i help

yeah its pretty much illegal but i am a member of a club called the police car owners of America and a few times a year we all meet up and get police escort around so area like last year we went to Indianapolis an did over 90 mph through town with light and sirens and we got to go around Indianapolis motor speed way.

I'm in love with 1994-95 Chevy Caprice x-cop cars. There so easy to turn into an Impala clone and already got the 9C1 Police package which should be as good if not better than the "Super Sport" package on the real Impalas. 5.7 liter V-8 gonna eat gas like a mofo, atleast my old 5.0 BABY LT1 (LS1) did and it was a BEAST of a 1992 station wagon ;) CAPRICE woot
i love my caprice but mine is a 1991 it does not have the LT1 motor in in but it still has a great 5.7 liter V8 at about 200 Horse power stock but i don't plan on keeping it stock but i am have problem finding a cold air intake for it. oh yeah i think making clones of the impala ss is o.k if you do it right but a lot of the ones i have seen have been done pretty crappy i am not going to turn mine in to a clone but i am putting in an impala ss grill
sweet, you'll definately be an unusual sight on the street, hopefully you'll find that cold air intake (i've thought I saw a few a few years back, course now its even older and I guess fewer vendors carrie parts...)
I can't wait to get my license back and be able to 'rent' a car legally (25 years YOUNG o_o) so yeah.

well you are going to have to wait about 2 to 5 years before they start retiring them, but if you love old cruisers then check out http://www.policecarowners.com/
In some areas, though as I said, my ZX3 has much European engineering involved in it's design, and it is far superior to 99% of American cars.
But, despite my view on GM, I would kill for a 1994 Chevy Impala ;) Those things are still expensive and seriously would make wonderful cruisers :p

See? I'm not such a big mean anti-GM person ;) I like the Cobalt that you mentioned in your note to me, I also love the Impala (the old one) as I stated. I can't name a car company (other than Kia) that I adamantly hate, I guess I just responded because you sort of lashed out at my Ford :p
