To uerstand both of these you need to know who Robert Crumb is, you prolly already do ,but if you dont he's a cartoonist that got famous in the underground comix scene in the 60s, Pats comic is a riff on Tommy the Toilet, a sorta fake ad/PSA he created: http://citizented.com/wp-content/up.....ilet_900px.jpg and my version is a riff on this comic by him,appearing in the first issue of Zap! http://www.zubeworld.com/crumbmuseum/kot.gif Because his underground stuff wasnt copyrighted, thes images rather quickly spread and became the memes of its day. Nowadays you pretty much need to be a comic fan like me n Pat to know about it, but what thehell, Aprils fools is the time for randomness and in jokes...
