The reason communism or socialism "doesn't work" is because people don't want it to work. People want to continue to sell themselves out, speculate, screw themselves over, continue to keep themselves uninformed, spoil collective boycotts by being a self-righteous prick, not pay taxes but get everything free, and whine like bitches about how it's the government's fault.
1. Speculation drives up price. Preparing for the worst causes the worst to occur because it becomes expected.
2. If you do not know about the government or how it works, you shouldn't have the right to vote.
3. No Gas Day would work if people let it, but more people purposely fill their cars on that particular day to be assholes. The people of France have the best healthcare system and the best economy in the world because the people control it, and it is a socialized government. The people there realize that you can control the government if you stop whining like three year olds and work together.

Hippies and commies are pretty much the same, so when I say "hippie", I generally mean someone who doesn't live in the real world. In all honesty, I have no issue with Canada. Never been there, thought it would be cool to visit some day...though I have no idea where in Canada I would go. Certainly not to the French-part of the country. And you think Canada's army would bet mine? I don't think so, but that's you're opinion, no easy way I could change your feelings on the matter, so I won't.

I had an account on Deviant Art, but under the same name...and I have not been there for at least a year, so I am not this clown person. I wouldn't say war is man's peak of perfection, but it's certainly something that has always been with man. And will always be there.

Maybe when the revolution first started, when those bombs would have made a difference, but so late into the game, it's hardly doing anything for them now. I know people around the world hated President Bush, but for us servicemen, we understand the reasoning behind his wars...all of my sergeants are scratching their heads over what the hell Obama is doing with Libya, or Egypt, or any one of this dictatorships that he suddenly feels he must be apart of.
And the man, I believe, personally believes that he is bringing stablitly to the Middle East. To me, he isn't a *Leader*, he isn't the commander and chief that others have been before him...he's just...there. That's all he is.
Anyway, long story short, I'm not war-hungry. I'm like my Marine brothers and sisters though, when there is an ass that needs to be kicked, we should kick the fucking shit out of it. Actually, there is a functioning commune in China. They are responsible for producing the vast majority of top ramen products in the world. They invite 40 people a year to join their commune and any people found to be selfish or working for personal gain rather than the betterment of the whole are immediately kicked from the walled community. I enjoy the extreme nationalism and pride of country involved in communism, however, I have to agree with Kovu998... there is a reason why it's a failed political system. A person's belief or point of view is fine...but this is undermining everything I joined for. Talks like this is almost treasonist in nature, it's not an opinion about how bad the president is or how he should spend the budget, it's calling for a drastic change and monumental step back for this country. Eh. I'm not really into politics or political parties for that matter. Every party has cons that eventually make them obsolete to public tolerance. And I'm not just talking of Communism and Socialism, but Republican, Democratic and whatever there is: they all fail to please enough of the public to function properly. But, y'know, this is coming from an Army cadet that, like I said, doesn't really partake in politics and classifies himself as part of the DGAF'an party.

communism is unrealistic it will never work...it will always end up corrupted because giving too much power to the government is fatal at least in our system we can voice our disapproval and criticism...and money is a form of currency that is earned through hard work it to buy things you need or want . You indulge in the fruits of our economic system even at this very moment..if not get rid of all your possessions and start a commune.... even the poor in America were more fortunate then the poor in the USSR or Cuba.
Capitalism creates the illusion of balance, money is distributed unfairly across the socioeconomic scale, anyone could go on about how richer people pay more tax and that poorer people recieve welfare, but this system of government is just as riddled with corruption as communism. Money itself is the epitome of human greed, you cannot become richer without someone else becomming poorer, and with a finite amount of money in the world our lives will continue to be a struggle, a economic battle with our fellow people for our slice of the capitalist cake. Society is drawing to it's end, unless people wake up and realize how destructive our current system is our economy will collapse and possibly our planet too. Everything we ever needed to sustain life has been sitting infront of us the moment we came into existence.
Are economy has evolved over time, It first started out as pure capitalism however that changed over time Through Government regulations (socialism) to regulate products(make sure they were alright for the Public....outlaws and enforce child Labor laws. It did Collapse in the 1930s waaay worse then it is today ( just read about the Great depression or ask a Living relative how has experienced it if you have any)....Because the Government at the time did not use socialism and thought the economy would fix itself. It didn't until FDR used his government sponsored New Deal Programs to help the economy. Our economy has adapted and overcome much adversity sometimes the solutions to our problems can just be solved by looking back in history.

I never like to take sides 100%. Thats why I think patriotism/nationalism can become "dangerous". You become completly open for what your country tells you and won't be very critical about the information given to you.

I support communism because I believe in it. I believe it is a beautiful system that can work. Sadly, the more people you have, the less likely it is to work. If you convert a random are with a random group of people from whatever they are to communism, only something the size of vatican would work without ANY hitches. Converting something far larger will take far longer and have far more complications.

look... picture a nation that is one third of the world. that third is all one country, and it is all communist. if it has already been that way for generations.... if in all the schools it was preaching about how amazing communism is, the parents would do the same..... that would work for a little while
but, there will most likely be a group determined to bring it all down. they will eventually succeed, but no real form of government can nor will last forever.

okay, for one thing, this is very disrespectful. This image is all kinds of wrong.... for one, if you were a TRUE communist, you wouldn't have made an image like this. Communists do not believe in the democratic views of the USA.
Second, communism is the WORST way to run a country. there are so many things wrong with the way it was run. Yes, it had WONDERFUL veiws and ideas, but it is in human nature to want all the power, and natural, as we saw in the USSR, communist leaders get all the power, while the rest of the nation burns and dies.

Communism, if you really understood it, is a terrible way to run a large country, such as Russia, due to the size, population, terrible weather, and many other factors. And i never said ONE person ran the government. I said that the government leaderS, more then one, would get power hungry, so instead of evenly taking, and then evenly sharing the wealth of the people, the government took, kept a lot, and gave what they didnt want or need. Therefor, leaving its people with little food, and less money, while the Czar, leaders, whatever you want to call them, sat in their high throne with their silver spoon, and lied to its people, saying everything was even and fair. Also, this belief was never really equal, because woman did not hold the same standings as men.
I am a Communist, because I belive in the ways behind communism. All we need now is a legit government that would follow all the rules, and not become corrupt with power.
And about this image, if you want to show that communists are better, why did you include them in the number one american freedom symbol? The American Flag? Do you know what this means? 13 stripes for the thirteen original colonies that founded this nation.

Communism is very VERY feasible political ideal, but mainly in the form of the Communist Manifesto by Carl Marx which has been proven in any size country being good only on paper.
I feel we need to mix all the political ideals (communism, socialism, democracy, capitalism, etc etc) somehow in a fair concept to make them all work properly :3

I have done my research on... well... A LOT of different systems. I used to love to learn and would go and study all kinds of things on my own, and communism is something that caught my eye even as an early teen. Naturally, I did not explain my view well and created little dumb things like this picture - that i am amazed people still find their way to, haha.
but, yeah, my support of the system is not just because it is something different or because it is the system that apposed the one of our country... I actually do like the ideals they focus on, and with a little tweaking it could be a very practical system to put in place. The problem is, everyone has to work together to make it work... you know?

I mean, granted, some people do more and are thus a little more important... well, a small example would be an Olympic athlete, they are going to be known globally for being the best at what they do - hard to tell people that everyone is equal when you got that going...
that's my argument there... most people's argument is why should a doctor get paid the same as the trashmen... to which my response is... picture you don't have some e to pick up your trash, there's no trash day. You have all this trash from your house that is starting to smell gross... what would you do? Sure a doctor saves lives, but everyone serves a purpose... and if the only reason he is a doctor is for the money and not because he is trying to be a good person. Or doing it for intrinsic reward, then he is doing it for the wrong reasons... and point out the times people have gone to those kinds of doctors that are in it for the money, that charge more, take extra procedures that aren't necisary, ask for extra visits when they knew and could solve the problem far sooner.... *sigh*
