That's really cute and wholesome if to think about it
Such a big and powerful creature holds smaller and much weaker (at least physically) being so gentle that it actually undestands how precious and important life is and values this soul like a gem
It is beautiful from both perspectives - visually and conceptually
And that canvas texture applied upon this image just makes it even better in many ways - like an illustration for some scene or a really good painting that can be put on a wall of a lush house or perhaps castle

I do enjoy what the picture is trying to tell but also this specific and strong connexion i do share with my current partner which remains for me ~The main core of this art~. I love seeing both sides of you. The huge dangerous dragon that you are and the softer side that you display. this incredibly well drawn here and definitely as majestic as your entire species deserves to be. I can see the DND red dragon influence in you even though you don't look exactly like 1.

The plates on your body look nice and robust, your claws shine I can see light coming through your wings and the water looks absolutely amazing just coming off of you like that.

I actually want to display more of my ~soft side~ as this is what i am and always have been. I've always been humble and simple. Strength implies a lot of responsabilities and you can make use of that power for good if you're willing to open your eyes and mind over the world and people around you, dragons or not. To be honest i'm not ~dangerous~...but i do still have this ~animalistic instinct deep down~.

Definitely sounds neutral good or chaotic good to me. And I say you are still dangerous in the literal sense in the same way even a tame elephant is dangerous. To me danger is about what you can do as a dragon not necessarily just what you will do. And it makes sense for you to have that instinct there because of what you are, the ultimate apex predator and a member of the most perfect species in existence in my opinion.
