Rododagon is an ancient Greater Aethonite of many accomplishments. They are the leader and founder of the Swarm, the first Cat-Imp, and as a result the direct cause of the now wide spread Cat-Imp body plan. They are one of the most successful rulers in Aethos, known for their raw magical skill. They summon and command a bluish-purple flame known as "The Heart of the Sun-Eater." They are responsible for handling all the Swarm's diplomatic relations with rival rulers and other Greater Aethonites, they also manage Logistics for the Swarm when needed.
Rododagon is a primary antagonist in Aethos to any characters which choose to defy the might of the Swarm, and an active influence of authority to those who abide to the Swarm.

Character History
"Rododagon was raised in a unique circumstance. As a Gooling, they were summoned to the Realms of Plenty by a witch to be used as a component in her magic. They grew up in a cage, learning and taking influence from both the witch and her cat familiar. Eventually, Rododagon grew powerful enough to use the witch's magic against her, and escaped into the Realm, where they did what Aethonites did best: consuming copious amounts of food, stealing souls, and growing to a formidable size. This lasted for over 50 years, until eventually Rododagon became enough of a menace to be hunted and banished back to their own dimension by powerful wizards.
Having grown up in the Realms of Plenty, Aethos was comparatively putrid. Rododagon quickly grew an intense resentment for all the creatures inside the dimension, and slaughtered them by the thousands, all the while trying desperately to find a way back to the Realms of Plenty. They tried to use the gates in the Breach many a time, however Rododagon had grown too powerful to pass through them as the weaker Aethonites could. They devoted themselves to trying to find a way to escape Aethos at any cost, learning new magic and searching for answers across the world. It was around this time that Goolings observing Rododagon's reign of terror started to copy his biological plan, originally simply because it seemed successful. In turn, Rododagon, being curious of the genetic development, chose not to readily kill those who took up this body plan, which made the form all the more appealing to lesser Aethonites, forming the Cat-Imp race.
Eventually Rododagon's travels had them stumble upon the resting place of the Suneater, who lay dormant like other Legendary Aethonites. Rododagon stole and ate a scale from the Suneater, and used it to create a link to the Legendary Aethonite's fire that they could use in their pyromancy. This magic created The Heart of the Suneater, a blue flame that could burn through anything. It was with this discovery that Rododagon was given new hope, believing if they could awaken the Suneater with the promise of a sun to consume, the Suneater could use mastery of its flame to burn a hole across dimensions wide enough for a Greater Aethonite to escape through. Allowing Rododagon to finally be free."
