Seems as though you got the fur and hair thing pretty well in the fox painting. Did it just seem like a lot of work to do on the lion?

Lions fur is very fine like horse hair so it didn't make sence to flush it out much. The mane could have been worked more but then agin the con was coming up and I knoew it would take weeks to dry so I left it teh way it is. Still suits the piece though.

And sorry for not mentioning this before, but I feel as though the lion is in remorse. You've captured it so well, that I think I can see a story behind this sad lion. I feel sad for him too now.

At 6 years old I suspect any flipping would have been over by now. I have a smaller pic of this posted to my FurNation site. This one is just bigger and more accurate in it's coloring.

i remember watching you paint part of this love your paintings you did over the years, even the original horse paintings.

I probably should have stuck with it. I jsut found my patience for art seems to get shorter over the years. If it's not finished in 2 days I get bored and move on. Paintings take weeks to dry between coats and even my PhotoShop coloring takes forever.

How many hours did you put into this?

I really don't remember. Most paintings take at least 4 sittings between coats. This was 2 sittings as it needed to be finished before the con I sold it at. I suspect maybe 8 to 10 hours.

Also, in case you dont know who I am, we met and chatted for a while in the headless lounge at MFF...while I was in my  keowee suit.

I am not sure how comfortable I am sharing something that is printable in a large format. I always want the original owners of my work to have something unique even if just a one time poster print I used to sell at cons inteh art show. The buyer paid a lot for this painting adn if I had expressed permission I might consider it but I don't have the records of who baught it to ask.

That's cool. I just wanted to ask, mainly because I would personally love to have a print of it.
