My sister kept coming over with her damn cat to my condo to do laundry...my Amazon parrot didn't like her Fluffy YummYumms one tiny bit.

First encounter, Kitty got her nose pierced by a heavy parrot bill, literally splitting it in half.

Second encounter the kitty lost 8 inches of her tail and my parrot chewed on the prize.

Third and last encounter, Kitty got a paw caught in heavy parrot beak and almost lost a toe.


My sister yelled at me for owning a vicious bird.

Favorited for the journalizing, but not for the events.

I've heard of this dog of Lex's... you wouldn't catch me near it without armour and a flame thrower.

Oh no, Frieda was a sweet girl with people and many dogs. But she is long gone now. Lex's current dogs, Rondo and Apache are also nice dogs, except Apache is a bit crazy and might bite your nose off.

Evidently there are other opinions. I think I may have seen Frieda -- or some other big galoot of a husky-like behemoth. No problems... but I heard stories, if not about Frieda than one of Lex's other beasts.

I'm not a big fan of huge dogs after having shared a car with some of Schirm's.

Sounds like just stories, as Freida was a medium size Husky and the two Boarder Collies have been his only dogs. Schirm's dogs were a bad example, though not so much a fault of them.

There are bigger dogs than Lex's -- Schirm's were. But I live in a two room apartment, and anything larger than a beagle is too big. As for throwing frisbies (or rabbits) for dogs to chase, walking them, picking up after them, feeding them, brushing them, bathing them, de-skunking them... I've got too much to do and increasingly less energy to do these days.

Sometimes Frieda would get in trouble with other dogs, but only if they bothered her, and she was _never_ agressive to humans.
