But hey, back then I was young and naive, so I hadn't realised the fun one could have with characters like her. History: Eyrie is the youngest child in the Laguz family, a noble family that has been in Sinnoh for centuries. The family has a vast fortune and a grand mansion, which Eyrie and Lucas will one day inherit, much to the horror of their parents.

Eyrie, typically for a teenager, is constantly bucking the traditions that her parents uphold, and is uninterested in becoming ladylike. Thus, in order to give her a ‘proper’ education, she was sent to the PCA. So far, it doesn’t seem to have changed much. Lucas has already graduated from the PCA with fairly impressive results; setting the bar for Eyrie’s parents expectations for their daughter. Naturally Eyrie has no interest in living up to these expectations, despite having impressive results even without much care for studying.

Originally Eyrie was quite the sweet, studious girl in her Freshman years; ending up being wooed by one of the Seniors of the time. However, the romance turned sour as he broke Eyrie’s heart, dumping her in favour for the more flirty girls of his own year. Eyrie was left frustrated and jealous, swearing revenge against the opposite gender as a whole; taking on that persona to show boys what really happens when you judge a person on looks alone; and thus beginning her reputation of being a heart-breaker of the highest order, not to mention a gossip.

Personality: Eyrie is a very flirtatious girl, constantly teasing boys, and fighting the other girls for attention. This is but a show, however, as she would never follow through. In truth, Eyrie is devoted to her family’s values, despite her personal hatred of her parents. She acts like a true lady when alone, and has actually little interest in battling, despite her usual temperament. She tends to be quite the gossip amongst her classmates; and enjoys tormenting her friends and enemies with pranks or insults.

Eyrie always takes a chance to throw an insult at any girls around her, particularly the rest of Team Excalibur’s members, including Aero and Valence. Ironically though, while she is constantly flaunting her looks and hitting on boys, Eyrie hates her body and the stereotyping it leads to. She only picks up dates in order to dump them for having only been interested in her body, confusing them with her personality swings between being rebellious and being classy.

Interests: Eyrie is quite the scholar despite her attempts to be a fighter, enjoying books of all genres, but particularly fantasy novels. She loves fashion too, although doesn’t seem to be that good at keeping up with trends. Eyrie thinks herself to be far more beautiful than she actually is, and thus often acts snobbily and condescending towards other girls. This is probably fair enough considering her female teammates’ looks in comparison, but compared to many of the other girls of the PCA she’s not so special.

In her spare time she likes to read, as said earlier, or she likes to practice her martial arts (mainly to impress on onlookers, admittedly). Eyrie has no particular hobbies, instead taking most of her time to chat with friends or strangers; whoever’s nearest. She’s quite the gossip, always chatting about other students behind their backs. However, she is also a lover of Japanese culture; one of the few remnants of her original studious personality.

Moves:
Freshman Moves:
Force Palm: While usually Eyrie is one to buck traditions, she has still learn this move, which is generally agreed to be a signature of Lucario. Eyrie often throws the simple palm strike into her usual arts, giving a bit more power to her weaker combos.
Agility: Eyrie’s fighting style is based around acrobatics and speed, with opponents being left in her dust.
Drain Punch: A strange move for one of the typically honourable Lucario, Eyrie is particularly fond of this move. With it she drain her victim’s energy through her palm, adding it to her own in the process. Much to the fear of any temporary teammates, she is notorious for uses this on her allies…
Close Combat: Eyrie, like most Lucario, has learnt various martial arts throughout her life. Eyrie tends to use Tae-Kwon-Do techniques from her training, usually using long combinations of non-stop punches and kicks to wear down her opponents.

Sophomore Moves:
Ice Punch: The next in Eyrie’s selection of odder moves is Ice Punch, which is sometimes used by Lucarios, but mostly in conjunction with Thunder and Fire Punch. Eyrie, however, uses Ice Punch alone. She prefers it because of it’s ‘elegance’, along with the fact that
Focus Blast: With Focus Blast Eyrie can fire large blasts of energy at her opponents, which cause considerable damage but tire Eyrie quickly. Eyrie can also charge the blast up for a stronger blow, and when her teammates are around to defend her, can sometime knock out enemies in one shot with enough charge.
Attract: Eyrie hit puberty during her Sophomore year. That is all.
Swagger: Eyrie, like Alicia, is quite boisterous while fighting. Eyrie’s taunting tends to be much harsher though, since she hits them in the opponent’s emotional weaknesses. This usually just ends up making the enemy more angry, but in turn makes them more careless…

Junior Moves:
Aura Sphere: Eyrie learnt this move rather begrudgingly, as she hoped to become one of the first Lucario that didn’t use it. Instead, she has made her own version of it, which is very peculiar. Eyrie’s aura spheres tend to be smaller than most (hers are basketball sized), and hold a very strange property: They bounce. This often leads to deadly games of dodgeball during fights.
Hi Jump Kick: Eyrie’s signature move and most exaggerated technique. First she knocks her opponent into the air with a aura-powered uppercut, before leaping up high with them. While in the air she lands a series of blows, before finally performing an axe kick sending her helpless victim into the ground. She prefers to use it as her finisher, and enjoys adding some extra style into it, too.
Extremespeed: Eyrie’s athletic talent and training allow her to run at incredible speeds when needed, but she is exhausted even after a few seconds of it. It still makes Aero jealous, though.
Poison Jab: To finish her odder moves is Poison Jab, in which she exudes poison across her hand and strikes her opponent. The poison is then absorbed into their blood-stream and quickly causes exhaustion, but the poison is easily cured by basic immune systems. Along with her fast-acting ‘battle formula’ she has a much crueler type of poison she can use with this move, which causes the victim to catch a harsh flu, which can last for days.

Appearance: Eyrie isn’t as good-looking as her personality implies. While she does have an hourglass figure and a fair share of admirers, she’s no match for the likes of many of her fellow students. She usually wears her own variation of the typical Lucario garb; instead of shorts though she wears trousers with the some pattern, along with a white t-shirt. She tends to dress rather revealingly in attempts to attract attention, a factor of the frustrations of her female teammates; and of little interest to her male teammates thanks to their age and sexuality.

Team and Relationships: Eyrie is part of Team Excalibur, along with Aero, Alicia and Medli. She is most friendly towards Aero, and holds a friendly rivalry within the team with Alicia; whilst she often bullies Medli about her appearence. She is the self-proclaimed girlfriend of Aero, though he doesn’t know what she’s on about. She has a bit of a rivalry with Janice due to their shared flirtatious and forward personalities, and the two often compete over boys.

Eyrie is best friends with Isabella despite their opposing teams; who has a similar personality to the Lucario. The pair are both very gossipy too, believing themselves (along with Janice on occasion) to be the best of the girls in the school; although evidence clearly suggests otherwise. On the other hand she is often found bullying Karah, another of Isabella’s teammates; whom she abhors for being similar to Eyrie’s original personality, although she mainly pokes fun at the girl’s weight.
