Things are starting to get tense :3 I very much like how this one turned out, courtesy of monokurosekai06 who did a wonderful job at bringing the vision of the picture to life, as the plot develops with them further distancing each other due to their differences in mindset. I wonder how it will continue and how will it end? :3
Chapter 4:
Having had enough, Placiramon decided to confront the apprentice on an off day when he was in his room. She was direct and blunt, telling him that whatever was clouding his mind, it was sabotaging his training, and if it'd go on like that, he could never become a knight. And she didn't much care for what his task to accomplish was, she just couldn't stand idly by when it was affecting them all and just his path to self-ruin. Yet it seemed not to be working, as he closed himself off even more. She just couldn't understand it. His obstinate behavior, bashing his head against the metaphorical wall of his training, trying to brute-force progress when it only burned him. Maybe he was a lost cause.
Averting his eyes, he couldn't face Placiramons gaze directly. It ticked him off and he had problems restraining himself. What did she know of his suffering? Of the loss of his family. It weighed on him, and they were the reason in the first place for him go on. How could she so easily just tell him to discard all that, just like that? He found it disrespectful, judging others situations without knowing them. And he knew he could try to explain it, but why should he? If this was her reaction, then she didn't need to know, as it would not change anything for her. Her dismissive tone ticked him off and In the end, he simply told her to leave, adding that he would seek her 'great advice' if needed.
As she didn't get through to him and he just dismissed her like that, she gave up on it. Let him wallow, let him fail, is what she told herself. It was none of her concerns.
Now left alone again, the dragon tried to refocus. He was thinking, pulling back what he had learned. Retribution was his target, and he would learn the tools and abilities to achieve it. No matter the cost.
