Happy New Year! What better way to celebrate than with a ball drop? And in the absense of a ball, why not me holding a banner and being lowered by my tail? Which is not actually prehensile however much it looks like coati tails should be? And is that why BunnyHugger looks distressed by all this action? Hey, that would make sense, wouldn't it?
Another bit of real-media art from me, this a sketch I did in pencil and pen on paper as part of the card I gave my dear bride for New Year's. So that explains many elements, including why you can see the pencil marks (even if I wanted to erase them, the paper stock would've made that not really work) and why it's so much more scratchy and angular than my digital work.
I like the style I have with this kind of pen --- it's very heavily influenced by Krazy Kat, a thing you'd know if you ever saw me shade them in --- and have long been sorry I don't have the knack of getting that style in digital art. But what could I do, experiment with Procreate pens or learn how to make my own?
