It was New Year's Day on the planet Elunox, and Ryker's younger brother, Rodak, would take a step out onto the balcony from his empty apartment, which he shares occasionally with his older brother, Ryker. He walked slowly to the balcony railing before pulling out a cigar from his pocket and lighting it with his lighter just to have something special for the New Year, before laying his hand upon the balcony rail, leaning into it while he reflected on his past, his family, and the other things that were eating at him because of it as he stared emotionless into the celebratory fireworks that lit the night sky above.
