Love the overhead view in panel 1. They look long but probably just narrow.
And the younglings on top, pizza or some game?
Kind of make me think of an old video game. Don't make one there you play the matriarch it would be super annoying as few as your people do as you say, or go all in but did not understand anything.

Yinglets would seem narrow and long when viewed from up top yea :D

I imagine If you played as the matriarch, you would constantly have yinglets following you as some resource you could send to do tasks, build stuff, gather stuff etc.
