This was a commercial illustration commissioned by Tom Laflin, who voices Anubis in the English dub of the anime Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts! Always honored to get commissioned for a character from the VAs themselves! Since this was meant to be used as a print, the watermarking here is a bit more aggressive than my usual, haha.
While I haven't watched the anime myself (though i probably should considering how anthro adjacent it looks xD) I really dig this guy's aesthetics haha. Always been a fan of Egyptian themes!

Well, the manga was over! The anime did cut a few chapters out which didn't overtly affect the central stories and summarize/rearrange some parts, but there wasn't enough for more than maybe 3 or 4 additional episodes.
I do highly recommend buying the manga. There's lots of little tidbits in there from the creator, as well as the longer versions of various events which flesh things out a bit better.
There's a short adventure sequel with the Prince "Shiro Usagi to Kemono No Ouji" (The White Rabbit and the Beast Prince), which hopefully will also get a translation.

Oh wow, commissioned by the VA himself! Impressive.
And yes, the anime is quite heavily furry-themed. It's very character-driven, with the world's history being very important to the story as well.
Of course, I'm an old-school otaku, and HAVE to watch subtitles and hear the original Japanese. XD
