Yup, they would be awkward. Unless he wanted to grab a stick or similar object. *parrot feet come to mind* It's still unusual though. I just can't see this big guy perched in a tree squawking and eating fruit. Maybe if he was a baby. Gosh, the mental image I get of that is adorable.
