A Mad Miffed and just plain Angry Kitty
What happens when a big and burly Marauder stuffs a tiny widdle Catapult full with it's musky grease?
The love child is what's known as a MadCat, and like any P.O. feline, it'll rip you apart if you're not careful!
What can I say? The MadCat is old, long in the tooth, but NEVER to be dismissed as useless in the battlefield! Often Maddy are given to new recruits of the Inner Sphere, or to the freshly grown Clanner to show their Khan what they are made of. Indeed in the titular Mechwarrior2 raster based 3D shooter by ActiVision, and later Ghost Bear Legacy, the MadCat was given the balancing, power, and utility in game the type deserves, taken from the board game by heart. If anything the MadCat truly was an OniMech in ever sense of the word, and for beginning and mid tier battles, was often OP unless you really REALLY loaded it with the wrong weapons/tools for the job given to you... Only then would you consider it as kitty poop.
I made this replica in SketchUp after a prompt from a viewer suggested a Maddy would be a good companion for my favored Marauder, and after some though, they were right. The Angry Kitty is indeed a good companion for a Rodder, thus here it is!
FASA - ActiVision and Infinite brings the irritated kitten to you in various shapes and capability.
I give you this image as a gift, since promoted by family over the holiday to make some mechs, and I just so happened to make my personal fav, the Rodder. But never let it be said that I snub the Kitty just because a Rod can carry more dakka. No because arm it right, and drive it right, a MadCat will hold it's own against a lot of other, bigger mechs... and most call this the Newby mech because this is the one often given to you when you start most campaigns, like those by Infinite and MWO. Let that thought sink in!

Meh... Little bastard Ravens are a**holes... Not even half the size of a Dire Wolf and it just flutters [jump jets] around and pecks [small pulse lasers] disrespectfully at the poor big dog until it bleeds [bits fall off]
You probably are better of with a MadDog... Just watch out for rabid drivers in the hot seat, charging at everything like a lunatic and spraying PPCs all over the place!
