I had been wondering why in a story that had a lot of banging to it Jake had not done any monkeying around (lol) yet at the time. A later update would reveal him to just have a low libido and once in a blue moon he'd be in the mood to take a roll in the sheets but this was already written and storyboarded and I wasn't gonna go back and change shit cuz I'm old and set in my ways get tf off of my lawn!
For this, knowing that banging woulld be inevitable, I ended up writing Jake as just super turned off by Specter's Slave game, I.E. his "OH NOOOO Don't force me to do manual labor against my will and then chain me to the bed and punish me also against my will because I didn't polish your boots to be shiny enough you brutish pirates! Oh nooooooooo!" behavior... which Specter is doing all the time, and the addition of a high end concubine gown that Jake and Spike may or may not have some sort of history with involving the ill trades of Espra just makes him want to crawl out of his skin and throw himself off the ship.

I mean it was a very reasonable assumption that Jake just did Not Like Duke Specter's whole roleplay.
It's kind of amazing that they're all as patient about it as they are.
I tend to write Jake as very awkward and blunt, he just presents himself as cool and distant because he avoids opening his mouth and letting the clumsy social mistakes come out.

Jake's the kind of character who just dresses cool and rides a motorcycle so without knowing him you'd think "Bad boy" stereotypes until you actually meet him and he's the most awkward guy on the planet.
Random person: "Oh wow, he's like the cool silent type! I wonder how I can talk to him he's so aloof! XD"
Jake: 'Fuck I forgot to brush my teeth this morning I overslept for work. Just gonna turn my head away when talking and keep conversations short so I don't blow my stink breath at people and they notice!'
