Went to Paris in March 2001 with a tour group with my brother in law and sister for three days as part of a whirlwind Europe tour (8 countries in 2 weeks).
The Louvre employees were on strike so I only got to see the outside of the building. Rode the Eiffel Tower elevator to the top. Drove through the tunnel where Princess Di crashed and around the Arc of Triumph. Went to the Galleries Lafayette department store. Bought a few cool French graphic novels through I don't speak or read a word of French. Dog poop on the sidewalks. Tres Bon.
Must go back for an extended tour.
