This was a commission put together for one of my backers, DrPortal455. Recently, his cat Red passed away, and as a way of commemorating him, as well as Mokwai who passed well before him, Portal asked me if I could do a sort of memorial pic for his Mom. Never one to back down from doing something different, as well as being honored to work on such a sweet project, I agreed to give it a go.

I did a lot of practice sketches first, as you have already seen in a previous post in preparation for this. Like I said, I wanted to make sure I had a better feel for the form of a feral cat, even if I suppose it's not much different from a candid. But hey, any excuse for practice and warm-ups is a good one, after all, how do you improve otherwise?

Portal seemed very pleased with this, and I'm very glad to have been a part of something like this. So thank you for choosing me for this for such an endeavor. I hope your Mom loves it.
