Originally, the Snow Maiden had nothing to do with Christmas but was from a Russian tale dating back from the 18h or 19th century. A couple who couldn't have children made one day with snow a baby for simulating caring for one, but miracle the swaddled up heap of snow turned into a baby, a girl. As a teen, feeling lonely, her parents allowed her to leave the house, and she entered a group of friends. But one day, the young girls played jumping over a campfire.
